Stress and trauma can affect how we think, react, and connect with others, even after the original experience has passed. In our work together, we'll look at how your body and mind have learned to respond, and how to build more effective approaches moving forward. Trauma informed care means we'll work at a pace that feels safe for you.
Many women feel overwhelmed or shut down entirely when experiencing intense emotions. The good news is, learning to regulate our emotions is a skill that we can practice. We'll work on recognizing your emotional signals early, understanding what they're telling you, and building practical tools you can use in the moment and between sessions.
Stress and past experiences often show up in our relationships. We might experience it as conflict with a partner, family, or coworkers, or difficulties trusting, setting boundaries, or asking for what you need. Through counseling, we'll explore these patterns with curiosity rather than blame, and practice new, authentic ways of communicating.
